in the front: Depends how you lower it
in the back: depends how much you care about the ride.

Short answer is no it's not required, but speaking from experience it will ride like dick.

I have stock shocks on my 4/6 and have had them like that for almost 4 years. Call me crazy and maybe i just don't know what a good ride is any more but the truck rides fine to me.

I'm actually not from Lawton. I'm just up here for school(I'm actually from Austin,TX). As far as a shock to do it, I couldn't help you. Honestly, I would do it yourself. I did my 2/4 drop when I was 16 years old. Coil springs are a walk in the part(especially drop springs), shackles are stupid easy. The only tedious part will be the hangers which are also easy, but take time to grind, punch, chisel, torch the rivets out.

In the front it's fine(actually recommended) with control arms. I don't see how you could run stock shocks with a 6" drop in the rear though. When I ran a 4" drop on my truck I had less than 4" of travel so with a 6" drop I'd have less than 2" of travel!

Who know's? They never bottom out bc the bed hits the rearend first. I bet they are blown though. It will not be a problem in about 3 months though. hell i will not even have leaf springs in 3 months.

i would put different rear shocks. the Front isnt tooo bad.

i notched my frame even when i had a 2" drop because i knew i was going to go lower. yet, now im glad i notched it because when i do my 4 link and coil overs it'll allow the truck to squat even more when it launches.

IMO do shocks all around, just get it done. I didnt need shocks for my spindles but mine were blown anyway. With the rear, I HIGHLY recommend it without a notch cuz I even bottomed out goin in my buddies drive way with the new shocks but I wouldnt have done it any other way. But the hangars are pretty easy. grind the heads and just punch em out
