I just used a 2500 front DS. Bolts right in and it is narrower for more clearance for the 80E.

thanks!
2005 Sierra Denali so same AWD transfer case and did the 4L80E swap about a year ago. Rear must be shortened but the front does work as is for low/med power situations. My tuner recomended I get it lengthened before I try anything over 10lbs so it's coming our this weekend. Nice part is you can just take it to a driveshaft shop and they'll pull it , add some length and re-install it for you if you don't feel like pulling it yourself.

You can probably pick up an 80E front shaft for $50. The one I have even has a boot that just snaps onto the flange at the t-case, so there is no boot clamp to mess with. It's a 5 minute job to remove or replace the shaft.

You could probably use the factory front driveshaft out of a 4x4 truck. Its about an inch longer than the sss awd front driveshaft. Thats what I am using on mine.
