From what I've been told, which I'm not convinced so that's why I'm asking, is that the front driveshaft will still work, and the rear has to be shortened a certain amount.
Does anyone know for sure if the front driveshaft will still work in my truck, and if the rear needs to be shortened...

You can probably pick up an 80E front shaft for $50. The one I have even has a boot that just snaps onto the flange at the t-case, so there is no boot clamp to mess with. It's a 5 minute job to remove or replace the shaft.
