Default Converter question

Hey guys! I have a question. I just had my transmission built and a Circle D 3000 stall billet multidisk converter. I had Nelson send me a retune and the truck seems to run pretty damn good for mostly stock. So I tried doing a couple launches down the street from my house and the truck acted a little weird. I stood on the brake and gave it some gas, but the truck would only rev up to 2000 rpm and when I released the brake to launch it seemed less responsive than when I just gas it from a stop light. Am I doing something wrong? Do I not understand how to launch with a higher stall converter, or was I just expecting too much?

Flash stall vs brake stall - I believe that's what your experiencing.

Brake stalling will require more power judging by your experience which is what you are doing now. The flash speed is much closer to the actual stall speed.
