I am wanting to order myself a set of 1" drop coil springs to bring the nose of my GMC down a hair.

I have been looking at the Eibach's, but not sure. I know that Eibach and McGaughy's and belltech all have the 1" coils, but would most likely go with either the McGaughy's or Eibachs.

Any suggestions from the guru's????

Oh, and will I need shocks for just the 1" coils? I am only running 2" shackles in the back.

 

You shouldn't need different shocks. If you're going for a performance feel go with the Eibachs. If you're just wanting 1" of drop use can use stock OBS coils in the front.

 

Most likely going to go with the Eibachs anyways. I do want them for the lowering aspect, but a bit of extra performance handling wouldn't hurt--maybe help get rid of some of the body roll.

I just didn't know if anyone had experience with the Eibachs, I know they will be stiffer, but with only going 1", it shouldn't be too bad.

 

If you're interested in 2", I'll be pulling mine off in the next couple of weeks. They have maybe 5k miles on them..

 

I've had the one inch Eibachs on mine for a year now. I think they've settled more than an inch however and i've had some wheel clearance issues with my tires. not a big problem but something to think about if you have flush mounted rims. they do cut down on the body roll which is nice but the ride is much more stiff. i think a good shock would help out a lot but i haven't spent the money on them yet. i didn't even get an alignment after because the small camber actually makes my tires wear more even; my last tires wore the outside edge pretty bad. if you'd like pictures send my a pm and i'll post em.

i chose to go one inch in the front and only 1.5 in the rear. these coils would go good with a 2 inch shackle
