Default Can you weld a small hole up in your differential carrier housing?

If you have a small hole in your carrier housing (on the bottom) can you plug a little slug of weld over it and call it good? Any long term effects? Will it weaken the housing?

Thanks,

Joe

Can't you take it back under warranty? Trying to weld that could cause real headaches. You'll never be able to get it clean enough, and you would chance warping the housing. Dabbing a little over the hole is NOT the way to go!
