They help a good bit. But if you think your going to put them on, hook on the street think again. I can still blow the tires off on a 45mph roll.. But they do hel in the wheel hop dept..

I don't have any pics ...but this fall I did a build on a '06 SS P/U ....
Cam kit,tvs 2300 with a 10 # pulley, full exhaust [nocats] Which resulted in major traction issues & wheel hop .After the Cal Tracs it was night & day difference ..alot better.
I also run Cal Tracs on my '72 SS Camaro & love them !I leave the line at 7grand & smile everytime that LS1 SCREAMS !

Great thread. I am in definite need of traction and anti- wheel hop.
Every review ive read the cal tracs eliminate wheel hop, but hit or miss with help in the traction department.
Traction from around 50 mph and lower when stabbed is non existant.
I m wandering if going from my current 265-70-17 street tires to a larger 275 or 285 series tire on a factory 20'' wheel would offer ANY help in the traction dept along with cal-tracs ?

I love mine, but I built mine instead of paying that price, bout $ hours time plus install time and it was done. Just have to make sure they are not adjusted too tight as that will hurt traction, I have played with mine and I think they are setup spot on

if you get the adjusted right, they will help on the street, but they are not the end all to traction problems. i saw a big improvement in traction on the street with them, but my truck will still change lanes from anything under a 30 punch. i used top have terrible wheel hop, but not anymore
