Default Built 4l60e and stall, how about the g80

I just sent my last payment to Frank @ Performabuilt transmissions for their Level 3 4l60E. I talked to Chris at Circle D and he recommended their 3B stall (258mm 3200-3400 mulitdisk stall) for my build. My question is can I install them now, or should I wait and install a Trutrac or Eaton posi?

well you CAN run the G80, but its highly likely it will explode behind all of that (if you planned on reusing stock gears on your new LSD, the G80 may take the gears with them). I'd grab a Tru-Trac and drop it in, save you a lot of headache.

If you aren't hard on it and just do normal driving it'll hold until you get one. I wouldn't be getting hard on it around corners or anything

which eaton posi? The G80 is an Eaton Posi unit.

Most of us choose tru-trac because of the fact that it does not use clutches so you don't have to worry about needing it rebuilt. There's nothing to burn up and you have to be harder then hell on it to break the steal gears it uses.
