Default Brake Calipers

I have a question....Im going to be installing my new eradispeeds soon, and want to either paint or powdercoat my mounting brackets and calipers. I will either do gloss black or red. Im not sure If the caliper can be taken apart, and then powder coated and rebuilt or not though. Has anyone rebuilt a caliper from their truck or have any suggestions?

Yes they can be pulled apart and rebuilt. I powder coated mine last year. Here is the link to my thread about the brake upgrade. Happy reading.

You have any pictures? You have any helpful information to pass along? What all did you have to buy to do the rebuild? Did it help with the performance? How hard was it to bleed the whole system? What color did you go with?

Yeah I added the link after I posted. Sorry for the confusion. As for part numbers, yes I have them. They are probably in my thread somewhere OR in the parts list thread in General Truck Topics. If not, I'll dig the numbers out for you.

OK, i read your whole thread, and was wondering if you could do me a couple favors?
There were no part numbers for the caliper rebuild kits.
Alot of the pics are no longer working, so could you post some of the progression steps here?
How hard was the bleeding of the brakes?
Do you think the brake lines are worth the money?

If your going to remove the calipers to get painted. You'll have to bleed the brakes. Which means it makes sense to get SS lines then and not later.

So YES get the SS lines. They are worth it.
