Default blew DS, any additional damage possible?

Blew my DS a few days ago, and haven't been able to fully assess the damage. I'm trying to get it repaired this weekend. I lost most, if not all fluid when the two truck loaded it up and dropped it off. Trans has a grind when going into park. My brain was fried, and for some reason I decided it needed to be in neutral...

Dang man that sucks, what kind of power are you making? thats the same shaft in my 06 cc, I'm putting at least 700 through mine. Have a new 2 piece from Dennys on the way, I don't run it hard all the time for fear of this happening. The trans grinding when you shift it into park is normal right now with no ds attached. Without the ds there's no way for you to stop the internals from turning. Whats your plans now?

I'll post up later on at some things to look at as I'm at work currently and don't have much battery life left

Are you 2wd? If so I'm very interested on info of your 2 piece Denny's driveshaft. I also got a 2wd 05 CC and a ecsb 2 piece shaft on the side but I want something a bit more stout too.

When I snapped mine, it beat up the underside pretty good. Took out my abs line, broke the retainers and retainer bolts for the u joint, ruined the tail shaft seal, bent a rim, bent my hitch and I'm pretty sure that was the cause for my rear end having issues soon after .

Replaced it with a stock one piece aluminum just like what was in it. Haven't really driven the truck though as I really haven't had time to get it all fixed. I've got a 14 bolt waiting to go in once I get some time and a new set of wheels.

Also Texasglock just like you mine came apart as I was passing a pair of semis and I hit a dip(I'm pretty sure I hit a dip) and it came apart all over the highway.
