I was getting yelled at from my mom to get that axle out of the driveway so I figured if my 14b was going to break, it already would have by then

It was already out sitting in the yard with all the other axles. No idea how long it sat there.

My thought was that it may have come out of a wrecked truck. Its possible that the housing is slightly bent. or you could have just got one that was poorly maintained and is just worn out...

The first one I got was supposed to be a 3.73 with G-80. Turned out it was swapped at some point and I ended up with 3.42's and an open cairrer. I noticed the pinion seal was leaking but I didn't think it was a big deal. Got it appart and the bearing spun on the pinnion and chewed it up.... Had to use a sledge hammer to get it apart. Turned out to be an expensive housing with axles...

Got my hands on a one recently that was in a fire.... The one axle was tought to get out. I didnt think about it at first but later realized thats the side the Gas tank was on... I am no guessing that the housing warped from the heat... I will have a look at it as soon as I make a set of rings for my line up bar...
