anyone ever pull a leaf?

damnit i want to do this but i will pull my race to the track next summer..should i do this or not? how hard is it to pull the leaf out?

it's simple. You jack up the rear of the truck. Take all the load of the rear leaf springs. Unbolt the U-bolts, your leaf spring packs should just be hanging there. There is a pin that holds all the leaf springs together. Just take a socket wrench to that bolt and take out the leaf spring.

I'd compare the ease of the project to installing a K&N intake

Took me about an hour to take them out and about 5 hours to put them back in because somehow the u-bolts were bent when I went to put the overloads back in. Axle wrap was terrible with them out. I think it'd be a pretty good setup with Cal Tracs though.

Dam! I forgot about that mod. I think I will try it too. Maybe I could do better than 2.2 60's with this mod...
