Can someone confirm here, if I broke the input shaft out of the input drum, would I have full 1st and 2nd gear?

Anyways, seeing as how it probably has a shift kit, shouldn't you have the trans pressures set to stock parameters?
stock lasts longer such as the g80, and stock aluminum drive shafts? the transmission is a huge weak link if left stock.

With that failure it really should not have even moved. The only way it could is because things were binding themselfes together. Nice carnage btw.

my stock 80E with a shiftkit lasted thru some serious stuff, but when i got my FLT lvl4 80E ive never had a transmission that shifts so nice. its amazing how much difference there is in a "built" transmission compared to a "built by a professional" transmission.

Just saying

Thanks for your input Vince, only reason I asked was I had 1 & 2 which got me off the freeway. With as much damage as that was, i was surprised i even had that.
