I was hoping for a 1" lift leaf spring....but it seems as though they are unnecessary since most people use spacers when the rear end is on the "right" side of the springs.

I added a leaf from another half ton set and it raised my back in close to 2 1/2 inches so i ended up putting smaller blocks in the rear. I actually think it handles better with the stiffer spring and i don't notice a ride quality difference than my buddies identical truck other than i have less body lean.

adding a leaf to a truck with a flip kit will LOWER it more.

you can get a 1" lift shackle or you can get a new rear hanger that flips the shackle over and moves the axle down an inch. I made a set of hangers for mine to lift the back 1 inch.

I was thinking the same thing. Some people just don't read.

whaaaaaat???
no it wont, even if the spring runs under the axle it gains height from the added force of the new leaf

if adding a leaf gets too much height you can adjust with the shackle length

The thickness of the leaf pushes the axle up more, and drops the body more. It might stiffen up the leafs a little bit but I'd say it'd drop it more.
