Default Allison Trans?

My buddy has an 8.1 liter 2500 HD, and today he calls me out of the blue and says. " Hey I got a tuner i wanna come over later and get some help".
So i was said ok, and he comes over with a superchips tuner ($451!). The thing did nothing, I think he would be so happy if we could just delete some torque managment, but I don't think this thing will do that. So my question is what type of tuner do you need to get that has the ability to delete TM in an Allison. The truck has Gibson catback and now a crappy tune. What do you guys recommend?

get rid of superchips, and get a custom tune.

BUT, if your buddy refuses to do a custom tune, the best handheld tuner is the Diablosport predator tuner.

Might want to look into a shift kit before doin anything like that..

A custom tune is the only way to go..
