Default 89 ck1500 LS7 build

Im looking for advice on what would be a good auto tranny for my truck. Its a daily driver so something with O/D is what im looking for but im feeling kind of iffy about a 4L60E behind a LS7 unless it has some seriouse cash thrown in it. I have thought about a 4L80E but i know they are a good bit heavier. Just looking for some advice, thanks!

Cool! Yeah i know what truck your talking about. Ive been thinking about the 80e. Then the next thing with be a rear end. Im thinking either a chevy 14 bolt like in a trail blazer SS or a ford 9". Either way im going to bag the truck and do a parallel 4 link set up for the rear.
