Default 4l80e issues

Hi guys I just finished my 4l80e swap. I bought a brand new Jakes performance stage 2, a Circle D GM 278mm HP 4L80 LS Torque Converter 26-2800 rpm stall, speartech wiring adapter, and is tuned by Black Bear.
When I put the truck in drive or reverse you can feel a slight bump of the trans going into gear, but when I give it gas to start driving away it feels like the trans slams into gear, or it will feel like the trans is popping in and out of gear.
I have checked the shifter cable and it is adjusted correctly.
I am at a loss for what it could be and don't want to burn up or break anything.

Thanks for the help Dan.

Sounds like low fluid level. Did you follow the instructions that came with the transmission?

Add a qt of fluid and see if it helps.

I ended up dropping the pan to see where the full marks on my Factory GM dipstick were in relation to the pan rail and it was way below the rail, so I marked the dipstick at the pan rail and filled it back up seems to work much better now. Thanks for the help guys.
