Default 4L65e swap question

The tranny in my 06 Silverado recently went out (3-4 clutch pack). I have a friend that owns a salvage yard and he has 2 low mileage 4l65e's out of a hummer and an Escalade he is trying to sell me. He says they are a direct replacement.

Questions
1 - Is it an exact replacement or are there differences?
2 - Is the wiring harness the same? plug and play?

Thanks

Yeah as long as it fits your truck drivetrain(4wd/2wd) then it will bolt right up and all the plugs are the same

Thanks for the fast reply's guys. Yeah my truck is a 4x4. I have built many LSX RX7's but havent done much with my trucks. They have always been my work truck or daily drivers.

Thanks again.
