AND he didn't even share correct info!!
that 300mm input shaft was put behind the inline 6 trailblazer engine.
100% a 4l60e not a 65e
Guy seems like he's not so bright
Curious why they had to put a larger (but very slightly larger) input shaft behind the trailblazer motors?
I think when they went to the removable bellhousing ('98-'99?) they went to 300mm for the LS and LT1 and standardized on that. The I-6 in the Trailblazer I believe is the same, just a different bellhousing for the 6. It's not just 2mm... the 298mm setup the input shaft has a pilot at the tip that necks down for 3/4" or more, while the 300mm the splines go all the way to the end of the shaft's tip. If the bellhousing has a hole at the very top it is 300mm. If it only has the bolts up the sides and not the very top point, it's 4.3 v6 bellhousing or pre-LS/LT1 (I think.)
Imma stick this right here.... These option codes are located on the TOP of the transmission on a STICKER which may or may not be there. So all these chuckleheads on Facebook marketplace claiming to have a 4L65 but it has a sticker that has anything but what's listed below....have a 4l60E.
With out irritating anyone too much, can anyone tell me how to identify a trans I bought off market place........the sticker is gone, and the code on the bottom looks like this. all I find online says it's a 1996 al60 but the input shaft looks to be the larger (300mm) with no smooth snout.
