4l65e behind 427ci engine
#1
Would a stock 4L65E with only transgo shift kit live behind mild 427ci engine in a 4300Ibs 4x4 Chevy RCSB truck for street use only?
Also, what does it take to swap a built 4L60E from F-body to the truck?

I don't know bout the F-body to trk, as to what it takes.
IMO, I don't have much faith in the 60e. Ya, I know the 65e has 5 pinion planets that help the 65e last longer than 60e does.
If u plan on beatin on that 427, I think the 65e will...
In a F-body, they're lite vehicles. A truck's weight seems to kill our trannies rather easily.

heres what youre doing...
drive down the road at a high rate of speed,
stand (facing forward) on the hood of said vehicle
begin to ****
see results...
-put an 80E in that thing and do yourself a favor, all you'd be doing is making more work by putting even a built 60/65/70 in it. Yeah, theres a little more to the swap than the 2WD guys, but theres a solid writeup on the 4WD 80E swap... its not all that bad.
