Default 4L60E separator plate: OEM vs transgo

I've only used the OEM separator plate in my last builds with torlon checkballs. Considering getting the transgo plate this time just to try something different.

Should i order another OEM plate and gasket set from the dealer? Or should I just get the Transgo plate (46-PLT-96 needed here)? What do you builders out there prefer? The truck is a 2005 with the 5.3.

I know nothing about building transmissions but when I just installed my converter and shift kit I ordered the transgo plate that way I had it drilled and ready to go in when I pulled the trans out.

Get the Transgo plate and be done, it's a lot thicker & more durable, worth it.

If you have a new OEM plate with torlon ***** then you will be just fine. A TG plate is not going to do anything more with using those ***** so I would not waste your money.
