Default 4L60e ....need help finding correct info please.

I have a 2002 chevy silverado 1500 4X4 Z71 with the 5.3L V8. The original trans. went out and was replaced with a used 4L60e. Now the transmission wont engage any gear. after researching ive come to the conclusion its the wrong model 4L60e. My truck has the automatic 4WD button in it which if im not mistaken changes the electrical part of the trans because it uses speed sensors. correct?
The transmission that replaced the original one is a (9LUD). It should actually be a (2KCD) correct? Or if you could tell me what transmissions (4L60e) models i can interchange with. Does the Z71 designate it as having the Automatic 4WD?

If the 9LUD unit came from a 2009 model it will not work. They are different electrically and hydraulically.

You need a 4x4 unit from 99-2008 from an LS based V8

Supposedly you can use one from a 2003-2008 4.3L V6

A 2wd unit will not work as the output shaft is to long. You would have to disassemble the whole unit to swap out the shaft.

The 9LUD supposedly came out of a 2003 suburban 2500. but the research i did says the 9LUDi came out of a 1999 vehicle not a 2009. The differences in what was in truck originally. and a starting point to the problems was the torque converter in the 9LUD would not bolt up to the flex plate and the 9LUD T/C is much smaller than the one from the original trans. so if it wont bolt up to my flex plate then its not the right transmission to start with correct. Also my truck has the Automatic 4WD button. this would mean the transmission uses speed sensors to detect wheel slipping. from what i can find , it appears as though the 9LUD isnt built for the Auto 4WD feature electronically. This is just what i think ive discovered to be wrong but im no expert by anymeans. Just wanted to see if im on the right track since ive had to remove trans again to exchange it tomorrow. want to be sure that i get the correct trans this time because the place i got it from believes it is. So thats why i was looking for info to back up my claim to them.

The electronics for 4wd have nothing to do with the transmission. With a no move condition I would suspect an issue with the configuration of the pump. Either you broke it or you have a mismatch of the input stator bell and converter.

What he said.

If you used the wrong converter or did not install it right it will cause the condition you described above.
