Default 4l60E 2009 4l60E different then 2000?

I've got a 2009 4l60E that came with a genIV 5.3l I bought to replace my tired genIII. I wasn't planing on using it in my swap but after i started tearing into things I can see my old 4l60e is looking pretty rough.

I'm wondering if i can swap in this newer 4l60e. the only differnce I can see. is there are more pins in the newer 4l60e's main plug and the order isn't quite the same.

Can anyone out there help me with this one? I can't find any information.
Will a 4l60e from a 2009 silverado go into a 2000.

Wouldn't the reluctor wheel be incorrect for your truck on that newer motor?

Not the same. Most 09+ 60's had some valve body changes. Now they have an internal mode switch and no pressure manifold switch.

Lingenfelter makes a 58x To 24x Crank Sensor Trigger or Reluctor Wheel Conversion Module for that.

Is the rotating assembly still the same? would it be possible to swap the valve body from my old 4l60E?

also pretty sure in 07' and up 4l60e's there is a input speed sensor on the turbine shaft. that might explain the difference in harness pins.

This might not help anyone but I did a lot of digging around and couldn't find much information on the newer 4l60e's that have the Internal mode switch and 19pins in the main plug. what I ended up doing was swaping my whole valve Body including the sep plate and electronics. in to the new 4l60e. I left the Input speed sensor in there unpluged. Theres also a wierd switch on the manual selector I left in there unpluged. It runs and shifts just like it should when it should.

Not all! Unless you have a RPO code of M70 that is not true. I have seen M30's with a turbine speed sensor. In 09 its a whole different ball game as far as some of the valve body and internal electronics as mentioned above. In 06 some units had the turbine sensor. The same goes with 07 and 08. In 09 they all have the turbine sensor from what I have been told and have seen here at the shop. Just a little input. Vince
