May have it back together this weekend, barring the sonnax forward and reverse abuse valves... But im not putting it in without the 3000 stall converter, and i dont have $$$ for that at the moment....Another $450 is a bit steep at moment!!!! Not to mention work, kids, hunting season, etc, etc,!!!

could you take pictures of the 1-2 accumulator after you put the ball in so i could learn from you and i will have a reference when i do mine.
also to, are you changing the servo? im going to install the vette servo when i receive my parts.

You getting a new converter? Great work so far broseph!! Thanks for the pics. The 4l60 is totally alien to me. This will help me go through mine when I freshen it up to sell off (or keep if I kill my 4l80).

No.....





New delco reman valve body.... $21+ shipping... Rockauto rocks!!! I got this and a full set of sonnax accumulators for something like $45 with shipping!!!!





The new valve body separator that came with valve body, wish i knew that before i bought the other one last week guess ill be returning the other one!!!





Vette servo..... 15.00 shipped from amazon





All the servo parts and accumulaor housing cleaned up!!!





Vette on left, oe on right A little comparison





Top is vette, bottom OE





Compressing spring housing into vette servo, used my ball joint press, to get snap ring back in








Clip back on





Painted servo cover... Aluminum paint, i really like that paint for accesory brackets etc





And now for sonnax, ***** in housing staked, half of my punches are broke waiting for snappy to get em replaced





Inner sonnax spring installed





Outer sonnax spring installed





Piston installed, wave spring goes beneath it..

Installed most of rest of valve body parts tonight too..... hopefully, i can remember what pics were what.... Here we go!!!!



Old tcc valve...





New one goin in with spring





Accumulator valve shim... PITA!!!





Forward accumulator plate off





Pin pulled, piston out!!!





Both ***** in and staked...shitty stake job BTW!!!





I missed some pics, apparently!! Piston goes in spring next then cover... Was running out of time at work... So busy tonight!!!





Hd 2-3 valve goin in!!!





My handy dandy accumulator valve shim installation tool... Lost a set of feeler guages somewhere....
