You have to add a speed sensor pig tail and wire it to the computer, Relocate the tranny cross member. Switch some pins on the VCM and change ur file either segment swap or a file from like 2003HD truck equiped with an 80. Oh and your tranny cooler lines will have to be extended. There is a nice write up on lstrucks

Great link. Thanks for sharing! So it appears everything is plug and play and won't need a computer reprogram as long as the conversion harness is used. Modding the crossmember appears easy, just a little time consuming.

You have to reprogram the PCM for the 4l80e, that could be done using EFIlive or Hptuners.

i just got done doing the swap in a 4x4, im just waiting on my tune. patc makes a wiring kit thats very easy its 230 bucks, you need to cut your crossmember and weld it so it fits in place. your going to need a new driveshaft with the correct splines and length, a comoputer tunes is definatly needed otherwise it wont shift out of 3rd. you need a new shift linkage bracket, torque converter, dipstick, dustcover, and thats about it.

I just used a file from an HD truck. It's definitly required for it to work correctly.
