Default 4l60???

Im hopefully going to be getting my stall ordered soon and im alittle iffy if the trans will hold up after? i currently have no issues with it but im nearing 150,000 miles and i was thinking about doing a transgo hd2 kit? i was wondering if this would be something i could do myself and if it will help prolong the life of my tranny. thanks for the help guys

That is the million dollar question right there. I guess the kit would help with any valve body issues and a new boost valve could not hurt with the miles on the trans. However if it were me I would freshen up the trans and then install the kit and converter.

You might want to consider putting the biggest trans cooler you can find on it if you haven't already. I'm actually debating on going with a nice trans cooler with the fan setup on it.

I've seen a few of the GTO guys running the efans on their transmission and they swear by them. It should keep it nice and cool.
