Well guys i need to swap my gears in order to lock up my converter,right now i have 373's but my converter is locking up@ 103 and i need to drop it somewhere@ 90 miles ..which gears should i go with 4.11's or 4.30's my truck is a daily so i don't know wat to go with ..i heard going from 373's to 410's ain't that much of a difference so if yall can help me out i would really appreciate thanks ..

What tire size you have in there? 4L60 or 4L80?

I went 4.56 and will probably go back to a 4.11 gear. The 4.56 picked up mph in the 1/4 but after driving it that way for a year, I have decided the 4.56 are too steep for my purpose. I wanna drive it and I really only race it a few times a year. Much lower then 4.10 with a 4l60e the low first gear becomes worthless...

 

So u think 4.10 are the way too go? ?

 

how often do you drive the truck? what's the percentage of city to hwy driving?

 

Its my daily ..city like 20 miles every day and not that much highway

 

With what you use it for, I'd say 4.10's.

 

city driving i would go with a 4.30 you can keep it under 2k rpm up to 60mph. anything over you start going over the 2k rpm mark and mileage starts to suffer. my truck went 17.5 mph all highway at 60-70 mph on 4.30 gears and 28" tires.
