Could someone explain what the cantilever kit adds? Is it 'better'?

i kinda figured everyone knew about this...

Basically the canti set up is designed to give you a 2:1 lift ratio (with 12" of lift in the rear), compared with a bag over axle set up which is 1:1. THe Canti also provides better ride quality over a bag over axle set up. In short the canti attachment is much better in terms of ride quality and lift, than a standard axle over bag set up. I dont think this set-up is ideal for a drag racing suspension, however there are several people that are running 400+ rwhp and utilizing this kit. This kit is also not ideal if you plan on doing a lot of towing and it reduces your payload cap.

At least that is my understanding

I'm thinking if your going with coil overs, no canti's.

grippy, it's a good idea, but still no one makes a kit for coil overs.

This is the kit that GMC SKI has had on his truck for like a year now but, with a custom coil over setup instead of the canti. Someone else had this before him but, I can't think of the username.

Thanks for bringing this back up grippy, I'm sure a few guys haven't seen it yet.

So the canti is more suitable for a shock type setup? Do you use coil-overs for the canti?

Clueless...
