Default 4/6 drop, need tire size advice

i'm always up to something different with my suspension. my next step will be a 4/6 drop (control arms & flip kit). i already have some tire sizes in mind that i want to try out but i just wanted to see if anyone was running this setup or close to it. the fronts would be 235/70/17 and the rears are 275/60/17. both have a tire height of 30" and these will be on the stock 05 alloy 17's.

any pics or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,
Lance

You might need to roll the lips out back with that tire, here is my truck 3/5 with 275/60/17 on all four corners. I never had more than an 1 1/2 of travel. If i did the tires would make some contact.

I think it will depend on the tire too, with mine the tread would clear the fender but if i went much lower the bulge in the sidewall would hit

i asked a similar question over on GMFS. i'm planning on running a 245/70/17 all around which is 30.5" tall.

here's a link to the thread. it has a good amount of pictures in it.

I'm running a 275/60 on my stock 05 Tahoe 17's Lance... I'm dropped about 3/5 as well and I dont see any reason why I couldnt go lower if I wanted to. the 275 out back should fill the well up nice and shouldnt rub either on those rims. Mine tuck just fine when loaded. I've got the Falken STZ-01's I believe.... good looking tire and its held up for me for almost two years of abuse... the back tires probably have 3x the mileage the front ones do

that's good to hear Ben. yeah i was looking into those and the STZ-04's. that's what i have on my stock 16's, i had the same kind on my 20's and they held up nicely.

i had 275/55/17 nitto's on my truck at one point. i think they look a little bit better than the 275/70's,and are 29" tall if i remember correctly. i liked them a lot
