What RPM do you want to be turning at for the MPH you plan to trap?

Yeah I dunno, 4.88 is pretty steep with a short tire.

I would probably pick the 4.56 myself, but if you want the 4.88, we need to do some math, but most likely you'll need to hit OD by the 1/4 and most ppl say that ruins the 60. So something else to consider.

According to my calculator, with the following specs your MPH/RPM will be.
28" Tire
1:1 Trans Gear

4.30 Rear Gears
130 MPH / 6708
125 MPH / 6450
120 MPH / 6192
115 MPH / 5934
110 MPH / 5676
105 MPH / 5418

4.56 Rear Gears
130 MPH / 7114
125 MPH / 6840
120 MPH / 6566
115 MPH / 6293
110 MPH / 6019
105 MPH / 5746

4.88 Rear Gears
130 MPH / 7613
125 MPH / 7320
120 MPH / 7027
115 MPH / 6734
110 MPH / 6442
105 MPH / 6149

You need to figure what your MPH @ 1/4 will be to properly gear your truck. Also be sure you are going to be using a 28" tire based on the calculations above. Change the tire size and you need to recalculate everything above. If you plan on swapping tires in the future take that into consideration.

If you run a 4L80e, you wouldn't want to be in "D4" because you'd end up breaking the transmission. WOT should only ever be done in D3.

Just another thing to think about.
