3200 or 3600 converter
#1
I am currently running a tb stall and am going to upgrade to a 3200 or a 3600 converter. My question is which one would benefit me most.A 3200 is pretty much half the cost of a 3600 (Yank or Circle D).Really wanting the truck to be more fun around town. I drive it about 15 miles a day. Mods are Thunder Racing 220/200-112, lt's, underdrive pulley, cold air, 4:10's with locker, and built trans.Original tuning was done at Thunder Racing and I had it looked over at Henson performance when I dyno'd it. Put down 320.It just feels a little "soggy" around town. So does the price of a 3600 justify itself in my case or go with the 3200.I know you guys love these kind of questions.

the 3200 you're looking at is probably the 278mm unit. It won't stall to 3200 and is a very budget converter. You really have to spend money on a converter to get something good... I have the 3000-3200 circle D 278mm in my truck. It want it OUT of my transmission... its not NEAR enough. only stalls to 2500 in my truck..

My buddy just installed the same Circle D 3200 278mm and it flashes 2800 in his 04 GTO. It feels too stock for my taste and doesn't launch hard at all. I'm going Yank 3600.
