Default 3.42 with a 4l80e

Anybody running a 3.42 with the 80e. I like the idea of cruising at 2000 rpms, but im not sure if its the best fit for my setup?

It'd be a SLUG off the line, boost or not.

Exactly, my truck in sig, is a turd down low coming off the line. But once in boost or rolling down the highway with the converter locked its a nice ride. I'm swapping to 4.10's to cure my take off issue though.

Mine is the same. I had 4.10s. Switched to 3.42s. They were cool for awhile then they got annoying. Next i am gonna try 3.73s. Kinda a happy medium.

Have no Idea. The gear box says GM 85373. Install kit say motive on it.

I was told the gears were Richmond Brand.
