No, something is wrong. I have 2 trucks with 4l80s and stock coolers. In bumber to bumper traffic for an extended periods and in the peak of Houston summer Ive never seen higher than 210.

no all i have is an auxillary cooler...it had a stock one but a dumb *** at a transmission shop cut the ends of the metal lines that push into the radiator off and ran rubber hoses up to second cooler

Definitely need to hook it back up to the radiator and then through an aux cooler. You want to see temp below 200. If you get 200+ get a bigger cooler.

You will also see a 25-30 degree difference (hotter) from the pressure port reading than a sensor in the trans pan.

well i found out my trans cooler was clogged... so i got it cleaned out n new filter n fluid
