2010 rcsb 3/5 McGaughys 34070 - Before/After
#1
Lowered the Work Truck this past weekend and thought I would post before and after pics. They are not the best pics but give you a good idea of the difference. After a lot of research I contacted Tim at Tim's Suspension Online. I thought I had the kit I wanted figured out, but after a short consult with Tim, he recommended the McGaughys 34070 adjustable kit....and am I glad he did. I am very happy with the results. The kit was complete and did exactly what I wanted. I also added Yukon 20x8.5" Replica Wheels and Goodyear Eagle 285/50-20 tires at the same time. What a difference.
The only con's to the kit are:
The only con's to the kit are:
1. As people have commented before, the printed instructions pretty much suck...they are very incomplete and provide almost no pictures for reference. If you are contemplating doing this yourself, do your homework beforehand, save up a dose of patience, and take your time... it will save your bacon. Also, Tim was a fantastic help by phone to fill in some of the missing steps in the instructions. I would recommend buying your kit from him when it's time to purchase.
2. Caster was not able to be adjusted within the recommended spec of 1.5 - 3.5 deg. Mine is at 4.9 and 5.4. Can't say I notice any issues with it and from I have read this is even a desired setting for performance...?
As I said, great kit. It allows adjustability from 2"-4" front and 5"-6" back. The ride is a bit stiffer than stock, but that could be the tires as much as the kit, but the ride is very comfortable for a lowered vehicle.
