Default 2006 Silverado 4l70e to nv3500 swap

I'm new to this forum stuff, so I hope I'm doin this right. I'm lookin maybe swap out my slush box auto trans to a 5speed. The truck is a 4.8 2wd. I'm just curious to know if anyone else on this site has tried this swap and could maye share some info on what parts are needed exactly. I have the skills and capabilities to do the work myself. Just need to know what I'd be getting myself into.
Any advice would be appreciated, thanks

Why do you want to switch to a manual, and why not a T56? I know there are some people on here that have put a T56 6-speed in there trucks. Do a search, and you should find some good info.

I prefer a manual tranny. Automatic is nice at times but they have to many problems. I plan on re-gearing my rear end as well (probably 4.56's). I know re-gearing my rear end would help take much stress of my trans as I currently have 3.23's and I can't stand the way they perform. I almost had my hands on a T-56 (for free) but the guy ended up using it in a new project of his. A T-56 would be awesome but it cost way more than an everyday 5speed. I want to do this swap using all factory gm parts. I will search more threads and see what I can find, thanks for the info
