#1:
toady i was driving around for most of the day and atleast 30 min before this. as i was leaving a parking lot i had turned and hit the gas and it felt like the tranny slipped a bit then when i went thru a u turn and had to go afain it felt like it did the dame thing. than a little down the road i was at a stop light and i put it in neutral and then back into drive and i hit the gas a little to pull up and it only half moved for a second then it like kicked or something ad every thing was ok. i had babied it since then, but i took it is some mud the other day not much at all maby 75 ft long with 3 passes and afterwards the tranny didn't seem right, couldn't put my finger on it, not rweally slipping but like tight or soemthing. now when i was dringing around it seems like my clunking yoke is even louder. after getting my windows tined at 3:00 i drove the truck and every thing seems nomal, no slipping under acceleration even kind of hard acceleration, more than what made it screw up before. since it cooled downand the truck sat it seemed to be ok. is it slipping? mechanical? my yoke or what, it is running good now.

if i do a 6.0l swap, can i beef up my tranny withpout making it shift hard? i did that with the T/A and i am not doing that again, i can deal with it under WOT , but not for every day.

Tuning takes care fo the harsh shifts. You can adjust with the number of washers in the accumulator for harshness also. Next the slipping issue could be a clutch going bad which doesnt mean it will slip all the way or one of the silenoids going bad in the trans. Its my understanding may not be totally correct but each clutch pack/band is controlled by a silenoid maybe the 1st gear silneiod is going bad. The EPC silenoid controls pressure in the trans and could be bad too. Next you could have a clogged trans filter. 6L swap is easy as cake the trans stuff isnt bad either get a good tuner and ur good to go.
