Default 2/4 drop...rouph ride

I did the 2/4 drop and it looks nice but my only complaint is how rouph it rides in the back. I have shackles and hangers with stock shocks. If i change out the shocks do you guys think it will ride better?

The stock shocks are riding on their stops no doubt and you are getting no downward articulation. Change the shocks, you need 4" drop shocks, and yes the bump stops will need to be shortened.

With a 4" drop and a notch you can retain as much travel as factory. I would recommend the notch, especially if you use the truck for heavy loads.

I just done a 2/4 and removed my bump stops, still rides the same! I dont have a reese hitch or spare tire on the rear though, you may have some additional weight than I do. I do have the factory chrome bumper! My ride is a 2000 rcsb 2wd

I dont have a spare, but i do have a hitch. the only thing i put in the back is a couple of dirt bikes, how difficult is it to do the c-notch. just some cutting and welding i suppose huh?..actually could you guys show me some pics of yours please.

personally i would not go to the trouble to c notch your frame if 4" is as low as you want to go. Get your self some good shocks seriously buy good shocks and maybe cut a little more off your bump stops

Just put the new shocks in, you should tell a diff. I have the Belltech 2/4 drop kit w/the Nitro 2 shocks and alignment kit too.
