2-3 shift slip
#12
This truck doesn't warrant a 4L80E - it's essentially stock, but I'll try the Vette servo and see if it helps.
I found that this slips a lot more when it's warm. Right after start when the trans is in warm-up mode and holding gears a little longer, it shifts about how it should normally.
Which servo should I replace?

My mom's 03 Trailblazer with a 4L60E had a 2-3 slip/flare, so I swapped in a Corvette servo and now it shifts perfect(even after 30k miles). I later found out that a 2-3 slip/flare can be caused by damaged servo seals. So switching to a Corvette servo will give you firmer shifts and potentially fix your 2-3 shift issues. Win win.

I have had red eagle clutches in mine for 8 months now. It's finally started to slip some. But it gets rode hard and put up wet most of the time. But certain people have better luck with some brands than other people do.

But even now with no boost and a stock LQ4, the 80E still is a nice touch.

Wow thats expensive, i thought the 4 that i went thru was bad enough! I feel really sorry for you, or maybe not. You should have went 80e wayyyyyyy sooner! LOL

Here is an article that you might want to read and see if it applies to your vehicle. http://www.sonnax.com/system/pdfs/13...pdf?1289926276
