I have a 01 and wondering if i could put 15 inch rims on the back to mount a set of drag radials. Also what size of drag radials do you guys run. My factory tire is a 255/70/R16.

How much grinding do you have to do to the calipers to get a 15 inch wheel to fit? If it's like the F-body's that's not too bad...
5 year bitches!
nothing like a Fbody. you ahve to take about 3/8 off the caliber and slope it to help clear the rim. i did it to a mock up cailber and realize its just cheaper andeasier to buy a 16" tire

I have done it as well, just takes a little time. I'd say, depending on the wheel, 1/4" to 3/8". and like stated above sloped down toward the outside. I used a set of factory 15x8 rally wheels and they work great. They have been that way for about a year now with no brake problems.Originally Posted by speedy02

Mickey Thompson makes a 28x11.50-16LT and a 28x12.50-16LT. But there not radial and there tubetype.

Do you have a picture of the grinded caliper's and of the wheels mounted on the truck? I want to run the M/T drag radials but they only make one size for 16" wheels 255/50r16. That's the size i run at the track.. I want to run the M/T 275/60r15 DR's.. Originally Posted by Rhino79
