My truck stock came with a 10 bolt spicer 3.73 non posi, since i wanted 4.10´s and posi i went to the junk yard and got a 14 bolt posi with stock 4.10´s, never opened, it was a lot havier, my question is: does the 14 bolt make me a lot slower? i know it should be stronger

Will it make you slower?? Hmmm maybe a bit. Just do to the fact it is alot more gear to spin, as far as weight goes, more in total weight.. My ?? is what kinda power do you put out, what kinda power do you plan to make?? If it is under 700 to the wheels I think a good section and gears along with a girdle would be more then enough..

i have no idea where it came from, i only found written 4x4 on it so i know they took it from a 4x4 and the gearing they had a way to find out what gears it had in by turning it around, and well speedometer show more then it really is driving, that i checked with the gps, that's all i know

Yes I honestly do. It is kinda a pita to do the swap( not hard but ) A ton of guys are going deep 10's on a built 10 bolt.. The axles are plenty strong. It is the center sections that take a ****.. Like I said before. A good center section, good gears, a girdle will allow you to put a good bit of HP through that stock rear. JMO
