Default 03 SS AWD/ trans Question????????

1:
I just ordered the transgo shift kit for the SS. I spoke to tech support @ transgo, and they said that their 4l60e shift kit will work fine on the 4l65e on the SS. Has there been any problems with people installing this kit in the SS?

2:
The SS has the Auto Trac System right? If it does, Has anyone attemped to install the Auto Trac switch from a Yukon or any other Auto Trac system. The one Im talking about is the selector on the dash to go from 2wd/ 4wd/ Auto Trac. Any advice?????? What do you think you would need to do this. I would be nice to run it in 2wd, then switch to 4wd whenever you wanted.

3: After I install the shift kit, do you think the TQ Management will get worse?

the kit will work fine w/ the 4L65e... BUT... with the Transgo kit I would recommend swapping the accumulator for a metal one. The transgo kit has a tendency to put a crack in the stock plastic one.

you will want to get rid of all torque management with a shift kit. as for the transfercase, it has a viscous coupler. there is no way to run it in 2wd. i've seen an SS or two, they need a shift kit for sure. stock they don't shift, mearly change rpm.
