does anybody happen to know what the difference is between the 01 trans and say an 03 or any newer? are they interchangeable? trans and front diff just went out in my 01 tahoe and i was thinkin about doing a newer trans if possible is why im asking. thanks in advance.

as far as the transmission goes I was able to use an 03 in my 99 silverado with no problems. but how much newer you can go someone else would have to say. and the front diff i would think they would interchange with no problems.

 

There are a few differences, but it will work fine.
