Trailblazer I6 converter
#1
Guys I have a question that might help find a cheap stall for those on a budget. I know you guys are using the I6 converters out of trailblazers, and that got me thinking. the bellhousing pattern for the colorado 4 and 5 cylinder is the same as the 6 in the tb. they also use the 4l60/65e. My buddy owns a 4 cyl auto colorado, and I got him to check what it footbrakes at with the 2.8 and it held 2400 rpms. didnt check flash stall, he was in a hurry.
now i dont know what the I6 stalls at, but Im going to say that a v8 should make the 4 cyl converter stall at least a couple hundred more rpms than a 4 can.
Anyone got any more info on these? might be easier to find then the trialblazer converters too?

not sure on the diameter on the 4/5cyl converter but I'm sure the clutch would be fragile in a big heavy truck making any kind of power... What about bolt pattern and depth with the different flexplate??
the I6 converters have been a popular upgrade for a good while. never heard of anyone running a stock 4/5cyl converter... if it bolted in and fit I'd guess it would be a 3200ish stall with a clutch disk just waiting to go poof...
