Default Turbo 89 Silverado fuel system...

I figured id do kinda like a build thread on my fuel system as I go, so other people could mabe gain some info on this.

First off, I'll give you guys my plans. I want a fuel cell (either mounted under the bed or in the bed, perferably under) with a sump and dual outlets, and here it gets complicated, for now, I want to just get the truck up and running so I'm gonna run a single -8 line to a frame mounted inline Bosch 044, then a -6 line to the stock fuel rail and return from there back with another -6 line to the cell. Later when I get the rest of the kinks worked out on the truck, then I wanna go E85, another pump and aftermarket rails.

Question, where should I place a fuel filter? Before or after the pump?

I also need to find a fuel cell, I don't know if anyone has had any experience with trying to mount a fuel cell under the bed on an older truck or not, but if you do please chime in, I could use a few pointers. If its gonna prove to be to big of a task, I'll probably just mount it in the bed.

I am installing a filter before (dont want to contaminate the pump) and after the pump (dont want to contaminate the rest of the system if the pump fails). As for the tank, you should start looking at some and get an idea of the size you want. Measure out where you want to install it and go from there. They make "bolt-in" cells specifically for that truck (if your talking about the 89) if im not mistaken.

Ok, yeah I decided to do the same thing, I got a 40 micron to put before the pump, but hadn't planned on one after, i never thought about pump failure. I might do that too. as far as the cell, i still haven't bought one. Where can I find this bolt on cell for my 89? I spent all day searching for one yesterday, and nothing...

Well, I'm gonna use the stock fuel rails for now with the factory rail mounted regulator.
