Default truck intake vs ls6/ls2/ls1 intake

right now currently have the stock truck intake and 36# injectors, ive been doing a lil reading here and there and hear u loose torque out the hole with a ls6 or ls1 or ls2 intake vs the truck intake i have thats stock.. i currently have the tr 228 cam with 588 lift and 112 lsa and a lil bit of head work as in 30,000 shaved and ported and polished up and the basic valve springs and push rods and a 2600 stall from circle d converters. is it worth swapping intakes right now i have the torque to get out the whole i just need some mid range to pick it back up thru second gear.. and what else do i need to change in order to change the intake if it is worth it. i appreciate the help if theres any out there cause i cant seem to figure out what to search to find the right info..
thanks again

The truck intake outflows the LS1 intake. The LS6 intake flows a little better than the truck intake. As far as I know, the only thing that will help you in the mid range is a higher stall, different heads, a smaller cam, or giggle gas.
