Default carb vs injection on LS??

Has anybody ripped off injection stuff and done a good intake and carb ontop of a mild street late model 5.3 or 5.7? Is there any gain in this, or a negitive outcome for a daily street ride? JUST Curious!!!

phantom did it and picked up good mph. i'm going carb with a ls2 that i'm building because i'm putting the motor into something that didnt come w an ls engine and it is just so much easier/cheaper to go carb in that scenario. each has their benifits and draw backs.

I like a carb over fi, for the ease of install and tuning.
