Default Nbs fuel setup

hey everyone I’m pretty new to the truck world and I’m doing a turbo build on my 2001 GMC Sierra. I have some questions that I couldn’t quite find direct answers for and was hoping somebody could just run through my questions and give me some quick answers.

my power goals are in the 550-600whp range on e85. I was planning on running 1000cc injectors and a single walbro 525 pump with its own dedicated wiring.

Some of these questions might be obvious but the truck is in storage because it’s winter in Michigan so I can’t just pop the hood and look at things.

Question 1: Does my 2001 GMC Sierra 1500 have a return style system from the factory?

Question 2: do I have a steel or plastic fuel hat. (I’d like to be able to weld on a fitting in the future for a bigger feed line.

Question 3: are my factory fuel lines e85 compatible

Thanks for any help.

1. Yes.
2. Not sure, but I thought there were all plastic. Atleast the aftermarket pumps are.
3. Should be, they are metal fuel lines. Haven't heard of anyone having problems yet.

thanks FFDP, another one maybe you could answer. I’m thinking about getting the snake eater performance 1000cc injectors. Will these ones be a direct fit for my truck or should I get something else?

They fit, but do they come with proper data?

Data is what you need/want. Heard of those but never bought them or looked into their data if they come with any. Any of the other major injector sellers have data that is direct plug and play with HP Tuners or EFI Live.

Tuning around unknown data or no data is a pain in the dick, makes things take way long than they should.

What kind of data would I be looking for?

I just came across this on their website. I’ll still do more research and find out if they’ve been doing good on other people’s setups.

When you buy injectorsfrom FIC,injector dynamics etc you are also paying for the data that is researched tested and true for those injectors. I’ve tried using cheaper injectors and had nothing but issues with getting the data correct, I decided to pay more for FIC and the extra money spent is well worth not having the headache.
