Default L92 swap vette fuel filter

How did you guy guys get the vette fuel filter to fit in the rail and not kink the return line? I had to bend the line on the rail up and out just a touch to fit the filter on, hook up the lines and it kinks the return line against the firewall. It's very slight but I'm getting 62psi vise 58 with the truck running. When my second pump kicks on this isn't going to work at all. The feed line is slightly bent too and I don't like it.

Ditch that reg. and get an adjustable regulator .
I tried one of those a few years ago and had the same result , higher base psi and hard to fit .

This is the only pic I have of when it was temp. installed ,
Not a lot of room at all like you said .

this is just until I can get a good regulator. I was running return style rails from 02 Silverado but the cross over hose started leaking. I'm going to try a few things tonight, I was just wondering if anyone had some insight on it.

I built an extension line for the filter. Now every thing is smooth. Runs 62 base and 70 with the second pump. So even though it's not boost referenced pressure is still higher at boost. But it's not like with the kink in the return. That bad pressure sky rocket to 80psi with the second pump then it would fall to 70. Now it's fast and smooth and NO LEAKS!! Lmao
