Got the bucket about 90% complete. Still have alittle smoothing to do. The metal rods don't like to go up or down very easily. One of them is rubbing against the fuel pump. The pump is a very tight fit in there. A lot of the bucket had to come out. I need to pick up the 3/8 fuel hose drill the top of the bucket so I can run new power wire to the pumps but that will have to wait until I swap them. The fuel level sensor doesn't work on that one so I'm going to use the top of the current pump. Hoping to have it I by tomorrow afternoon

1) It's 5/16" hose, not 3/8".
2) Don't drill a hole for the wiring. The pass-thru in your pic above is the good one. Just use it with 10 ga wire to the pump.
3) If you have another fuel level sensor that works fine, just put it the assembly that you plan on installing.

Okay. The barb fitting on the pump is 3/8. Should I still get the 5/16? It's not much different and I'm sure I can get it on the fitting. And what pass through are you referring too? Thanks

Yes on the 5/16". And I'm talking about the horizontal 4-wire electrical connector (pass-thru).

Yes I am still a newb. But I have learned a lot in the 4 years that I've been on this site. The stock wiring is about a 14 gauge and I don't want it to be a bottleneck in the wiring. I was going to do like what mangled did in his thread and drill two small holes and use a threaded rod and attach the wires to it. I will seal it with some clear silicone.

Clear Silicone will not hold up to Gasoline for long.

Drill the holes and use GOOP to seal. Mightymouse has a thread over on it on tech with his how-to in the fuel section.

I used jb weld to seal mine seems to be holding up fine. Threaded rod is a good idea though.
