Default Fuel filter before or after external pump?

I am planning out my fuel cell. I will be using a fuel cell with a sump feeding a bosch 044. I want to install a filter should it go before or after the pump? I am planning on attaching the pump directly to the sump fitting sooooo if the filter is before, how do i change it? All the gas would pour out.

I run the magnafuel setup with a pre and post filter and a shutoff in the line before the pre-filter. If running only one filter, put it after the pump.

Sock in the tank(pre-filter), then pump, then filter after the pump.
