Default Will This Do it?

Have a 09 Silverado 1/2 ton, looking to make 550rwhp threw a 6LE60 give or take on 91 oct. truck is driven every day and tows toys during the summer

plan is
lq4 30 over
823 heads
stock crank
forged rods and pistons
9.75/10:1 compression
d1 procharger 8-10psi W/ air to water

walbro 525 with LSA FPCM flash

dont want to run any meth/ water injection,

i know a PD charger would be better for towing but i have a D1 kicking around and want to use it to stay cheap.

am i going to be close?

I made 477 with a P1 on a 5.3 and 12psi. Youre gonna smoke 500 no problem. Make sure you have the fuel for it.

LS9 cam, TR6s, 2 bar speed density, e fans, aluminum radiator, 52lb injectors, 255 pump.

Made 477 through the 100% stock exhaust.

A basically stock motor with a cam will hold those power goals for quite a while. You're basically putting a lot more money into a motor that doesn't need to be there with those parts.

what do you mean?

the forged rods/ pistons?

with towing im thinking ill be in boost for longer periods of time and it would be cheap insurance. the 6.0 has to come apart any ways as it was from a wrecker

Yes, GM makes good stuff. I bought a core 6L from a guy for $250, pulled it apart and everything looked good. All I did was clean everything up, dingle ball honed it, put new cam bearings in it, opened up the ring gap and put it back together with a new oil pump and a Summit boost cam. Even reused the rod and main bearings after a little cleaning. Motor has 45lbs of oil pressure at hot idle and makes 375whp on my dyno NA. Fixing to put a couple turbos on it and push it to 700+. I expect it to live a long life there, and do lots of burnouts lol

that was my original plan, to use the stock bottom end. i just worry that stock pistons may not last under 10 min of boost well luggin 7k up a hill. i dont wanna be the guy waiting on a tow truck on his way to a poker run haha

Re-think your LQ4 choice.

That is the wrong generation engine if you want it to install into a 2007+ NNBS truck. The crank trigger, cam sensor location, knock sensor location and a few other things are all wrong compared to a GEN 4 block.
